Cloud Security Partner FAQ

Top 10 questions from prospective partners.

What is TENET

TENET provides continuous cloud risk assessments and management through a unified, agentless platform purpose-built for Azure & M365. TENET offers:

  • Attack surface management
  • Identity & access management
  • Compliance monitoring
  • Anomaly detection
  • AI Risk Monitoring
  • M365 external data sharing and license optimization
  • AI-powered security operations with BriteAI
  • White labelled executive reporting

TENET enables MSPs and MSSPs to measure their customers’ cloud risk posture, enforce remediation standards, and demonstrate continuous improvement.

Why cloud risk intelligence?

There are many reasons for MSPs and MSSPs to deliver continuous cloud risk intelligence to their customers, including:

Prevent business loss — System downtime, lost revenue, cleanup costs, and loss of trade secrets due to environment compromises cost organisations millions each year. Proactive risk detection enables MSPs to identify and remediate threats before they impact customers, reducing costly incident response and demonstrating value.

Everyone is a target for attack — Today, everyone with an Internet connection is a potential target for attack. Automated attacks exploit misconfigured identities, over-privileged accounts, and exposed resources without consideration of company size. Even if your network does not hold any data that an attacker would want, it can still serve as a launching pad for attacks on others.

Native tools alone are not sufficient — Microsoft provides strong native security capabilities, but coverage varies across licence tiers and SKUs. Gaps in access governance, compliance posture, and cross-domain correlation mean that MSPs relying solely on native tooling may miss critical risks across their managed environments.

Regulatory compliance — Regulations such as NIS2, GDPR, DORA, and industry-specific frameworks carry requirements for protecting data and demonstrating security controls, with legal and financial penalties for non-compliance. MSPs who can deliver continuous compliance reporting differentiate their services and protect their customers from regulatory risk.

Customer trust and retention — Customers expect their MSP to proactively manage security across their Microsoft environments. Delivering measurable risk reduction, executive-ready reporting, and clear remediation guidance strengthens the trusted adviser relationship and drives long-term retention.

What makes TENET different from its competitors?

TENET is purpose-built for the Microsoft ecosystem — Azure and Microsoft 365 — which means greater depth, tighter integration, and more relevant detections for the environments MSPs actually manage. As a platform designed from the ground up for multi-tenant service delivery, TENET focuses its resources on innovation, accuracy, and partner success for the following advantages:

Microsoft-native depth — TENET connects directly to Microsoft Graph Security and Management Activity APIs to deliver deep detection value across Azure, M365, and Entra ID — including environments without Defender SKUs. This purpose-built approach surfaces risks that general-purpose CNAPP or multi-cloud platforms often miss.

Always up to date — TENET continuously monitors customer environments against the latest threat intelligence, compliance frameworks, and Microsoft configuration changes. Risk scores, compliance posture, and security findings update automatically — customers are always protected against the latest risks.

Multi-tenant management — The TENET Partner Center provides a centralised dashboard to monitor risk posture, compliance status, and security findings across all customer environments. MSPs can drill into individual tenants for investigation and remediation without switching accounts or tools.

Lowest operational overhead — TENET is fully agentless with nothing to install in customer environments. Onboarding new tenants takes minutes, not days. Automated reporting and AI-powered triage eliminate the manual work that consumes MSP analyst time with other solutions.

AI-powered operations — BriteAI enables analysts to query customer environments in natural language, correlate findings across Azure and M365, and receive contextualised remediation guidance — reducing investigation time and accelerating response across the managed portfolio.

Easy to implement — TENET can be deployed in minutes through a guided onboarding process. Updates and maintenance occur automatically. Training is minimal — in just a few hours, a practitioner can become proficient with the full suite of TENET capabilities, allowing MSPs to focus resources on serving customers rather than managing tooling.

Pure SaaS model — TENET is delivered entirely as a cloud service. There are no hidden costs for hardware, supporting software, or labour to install or maintain the platform over time.

What does TENET look for in a partner?

Cloud risk intelligence is critical to protecting Microsoft environments, but we recognise that it is only one piece of a comprehensive security program. TENET seeks partners who:

  • Manage Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft 365 environments for their clients
  • Provide high-value, complementary security and compliance consulting, services, and solutions
  • Serve specific industries or regions facing common cloud security challenges
  • Are committed to delivering proactive risk intelligence rather than reactive break-fix services

TENET has built a strong reputation for depth, accuracy, and partner-first support. We seek partners who will invest time in training and enablement to provide a valuable, accurate, and ethical representation of TENET’s cloud risk intelligence services to mutual customers.

How secure is the TENET platform?

Security is foundational to the TENET platform. By operating as a fully agentless, read-only service, TENET minimises its footprint in customer environments while delivering comprehensive risk intelligence. Key security features include:

  • Read-only access — TENET connects to customer environments using least-privilege, read-only permissions. The platform never modifies configurations, creates resources, or writes data to customer tenants.
  • Encrypted data at rest and in transit — All customer data is encrypted using industry-standard encryption. Communication between TENET and customer environments uses TLS exclusively.
  • Tenant isolation — Customer data is strictly isolated. Each partner and customer tenant operates within its own security boundary with role-based access controls.
  • Azure-hosted infrastructure — TENET runs on Microsoft Azure with enterprise-grade availability, redundancy, and compliance certifications.
  • No sensitive data storage — TENET processes configuration metadata and security signals. It does not store, access, or process customer emails, documents, files, or other business content.

These security properties are inherent to the platform architecture. This is why MSPs and MSSPs managing regulated environments — including financial services, healthcare, and government — trust their customers’ security data to TENET.

What training is required to become an effective partner?

Partner training is a key component of the TENET partner program. TENET provides dedicated enablement sessions for partner teams covering platform capabilities, service delivery workflows, and strategic selling.

Most partners complete initial enablement within a few hours. At the end of onboarding, practitioners are able to competently demonstrate and use the TENET platform, discuss key cloud security drivers and concerns with prospects, present TENET advantages and business case, and address common customer questions and objections.

TENET also provides ongoing enablement including:

  • Regular sessions on new platform capabilities and industry trends
  • Access to exclusive risk workshops for strategic selling
  • Technical guidance from TENET product and security experts
  • Campaign-in-a-box resources and co-marketing support
  • Product roadmap discussions and early access to new features

What are good prospects for a TENET solution?

Any organisation that relies on Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft 365 and has a concern for data protection, compliance, or security posture can benefit from TENET. Common customer profiles include:

  • Organisations subject to regulatory compliance (NIS2, GDPR, DORA, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
  • Mid-market and enterprise companies running production workloads in Azure
  • Organisations with complex Entra ID environments and identity governance requirements
  • Companies undergoing cloud migration or modernisation programmes
  • Businesses in regulated industries — financial services, healthcare, legal, government, and critical infrastructure

Organisations that have experienced a security incident, failed a compliance audit, or are struggling with fragmented security tooling across their Microsoft environments are ideal candidates, as they understand the value of unified risk intelligence and have experienced the limitations of managing multiple point solutions.

Companies relying solely on native Microsoft security tools without additional visibility are excellent prospects — particularly those without premium Defender SKUs or with limited in-house security expertise.

Can I white-label TENET for my customers?

Yes. TENET provides white-labelled security and compliance reports that partners can brand with their own logo and deliver directly to customers. Reports include actionable insights, risk scores, compliance posture summaries, and executive-ready overviews designed to demonstrate ongoing value and justify recurring services.

White-labelled reporting enables MSPs to strengthen their own brand while delivering the depth and accuracy of the TENET platform. Customers see the partner as the source of intelligence and expertise — reinforcing the trusted adviser relationship.

Is TENET available on the Azure Marketplace?

Yes. TENET is available on the Azure Marketplace as a Microsoft-verified solution. This enables partners and customers to procure TENET through their existing Microsoft agreement with simplified billing through Azure consumption commitments (MACC).

Marketplace availability streamlines procurement for customers who prefer to consolidate vendor spend through their Microsoft relationship, and for MSPs who want to include TENET in their Azure billing workflows.
